GREAT COMPANY
Reggie makes us laugh every single day and he has made a huge difference to our mental health too!
We didn’t really know anything about it even though other members of our family have Crohn’s Disease. After watching Izzy cling on to this unpredictable and scary rollercoaster ride, we did some research into IBD and discovered more about this horrible disease and that there’s an awful lot of people living with it.
I have always struggled with my mental health so we decided to put our heads together and create a little business that focuses on all things IBD and Mental Health. People living with a chronic illness can also suffer badly with mental issues, so we’re hoping that by raising awareness and opening up the head and bum issues that we have will help others and make them feel less alone.
Where the name came from…
It was during lockdown in 2020 when Izzy became unwell. This on it’s own was frightening for us all but on top of that she had to go to her doctor and hospital appointments all by herself, including her first colonoscopy. She was 19 at the time and we were in complete and utter awe at how she coped with it all whilst we felt totally useless. So, this is where ‘wonder’ came from.
wonder noun
a feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful, remarkable, or unfamiliar.
The cloud part comes from me, Lou. I have struggled with my mind health for as long as I can remember. I love looking at the sky and watching the big white fluffy clouds go by so this is where clouds came from. For me the fluffy, the grey, the black and everything that goes on in between represents the mixture of emotions that comes with a daily mental struggle.
Our evolution…
We needed to make something positive out of the awful situation that Izzy was in, to create something positive and raise awareness of IBD cause we didn’t have a flipping clue what it was when she was diagnosed. We needed to pour our turmoil of emotions into something, that’s why we started our little business.
It’s been tough but hopefully our creations will get us through and inspire others to help us spread the word about this horrible disease. So, we’re making fun out of chronic illness cause if we don’t, we’re gonna cry!
